Our Cemetery
Forest Lawn Memory Garden
Established in 1956, Forest Lawn Memory Gardens is an open and spacious grassy area with narrow roads that lead to each garden. Located near Smith Valley Road, there is an island of flags leading into the grounds.
Forest Lawn Memory Gardens offers traditional in-ground burial, lawn crypts, mausoleums, and cremation options.
Official Cemetery Rules & Regulations (as of 1/1/2015)
The period between March 1st and March 15th is used to clean and prepare the cemetery grounds for summer. Absolutely no floral arrangements or other decorations are permitted during this time frame.
During the summer period of March 15th through November 15th, flowers only will be permitted in the memorial vases and approved mausoleum vases. No other decorations will be permitted within the cemetery.
The period between November 15th and November 30th is used to clean and prepare the cemetery grounds for winter. Only holiday floral arrangements are permitted during this time.
During the winter period of November 30th through March 1st, wreaths and grave blankets are permitted.
Holiday floral arrangements and wreathes may be placed on the grave for the following holidays: Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Decorations will be allowed for a period of (7) seven days prior, and up to 7 days following the holidays listed. **Please, no large wreaths, and no more than 10' inch wreaths for Mausoleum Crypts.
All animals must be on a leash.
Absolutely no skateboarding or rollerblading on the cemetery grounds of Forest Lawn.
No alcohol permitted on grounds. No firearms, other than for Military services are permitted.
No solar lights of any shape or form, garden fixtures, shepherds hooks, or driveway lighting permitted within the cemetery.
No glass, porcelain, wood, balloons, other fixtures, or decorations will be permitted to be placed on the mausoleum crypts, patios, walkways, or any other marker within the cemetery. All floral arrangements inside of memorial or mausoleum vase units.
Any damage or loss of a result of not observing the above rules and regulations is the responsibility of the internment right owner.
The Cemetery will not be held liable for any property left on grave sites and other property on the cemetery grounds.
Cemetery gates are open from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. (EST) Saturday through Sunday during the summer months.
Cemetery gates are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (EST) Saturday through Sunday during the winter months.
Mausoleums are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (EST) Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. (EST) on Sundays.

Spring Cemetery Clean-Up
- All decorations will be removed from graves and mausoleums during this time to prepare the cemetery grounds for the summer season.
- Items removed by our cemetery staff will be discarded.
- If you wish to save items on your loved one's final resting place, please remove it before March 1st and be careful not to place any new decorations until after March 15th when the cleanup is completed.
